Maria Sakovich – Russia

My name is Maria Sakovich, I am 20 years old. I am from the cultural capital of Russia, Saint-Petersburg. Currently I am a second year student at Glion Institute of Higher Education with the aim to obtain the Swiss degree in Hospitality Management. I moved to the United Kingdom at the age of sixteen to study at King’s college. I was given an amazing opportunity to attend the well-established London University of Royal Holloway to study Management with Marketing and after two years I decided to make a big step in the Hospitality Industry, as I truly enjoy discovering new countries, different cultures and meet new people and that’s what hospitality is about. Currently I am doing a six month internship in Florence, working for the renowned Four Seasons Group in their well-known Michelin Star restaurant. In my spare time I am learning to speak the native language, Italian, so I can fit right into the local culture. From a young age I have thoroughly enjoyed the art of dancing as my main passion, and with the right mentoring I have been taught many different styles of dance routines, which has been an aim of mine for some time.

The reason I have chosen to take part in this Beauty Contest is for the reason being that two years ago I was given the opportunity to take part in the finals of MISS USSR, which was a truly a once in a life time experience for me and I could not wait to be a part of this amazing contest again. I believe that this is a great opportunity to showcase your beauty and talents and I would like to wish all the participants good luck.
